Smile...

I just had a wonderful conversation with my 96 year old great grandma. :) I had been feeling kind of lonely lately... and then God prompted me to go pay her a visit today. She reminded me of how lonely it must be for older widows and such... wow. What do I have to complain about? I am going to make it a priority to go and talk to her more. My favorite part is when she talks about the past - stories of my family from years before I was ever in the picture. She also brought up questions about this whole "gift of grace" thing God offers us. So like, we REALLY don't have to do anything to receive the gift? There's REALLY nothing we can do to deserve it? ... nope... there's not. Crazy, huh? :) And... what about the whole, "listening to God" thing. How does that actually work? Well grandma... a silent, persistant nudge brought me to your house today for this 2 hour long wonderful conversation... good bye hug and kiss. *tear. :) I'm blessed. And when grandma says, "if anyone can look outside at creation and not know there is a God... well, i just don't know... it's AWESOME!" :)

Thanks for that blessed time with my grandma today, God! :) Take the time to visit with your grandparents and great grandparents... who knows how much longer they'll be around to talk to...
